ABOUT ME
Fashion Forward
My name is Sara Liddy and I am a Fashion Designer based out of the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan area. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Apparel Design and Merchandising from Washington State University.
My area of expertise encompasses the design and creation of garments, specifically through draping and developing technical sketches. I am proficient in many programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lectra Modaris, and other industry related programs.
I have always had a deep love for fashion and have gained much of my inspiration from the ever glorious Coco Chanel. Check out my resume below, I would love to share my ideas with you!

SPREZZATURA
Senior Capstone - 2020
Sprezzatura means Effortless Elegance in Italian. This theme was influenced by my time abroad in Florence, Italy. I draw inspiration from the colors of Florentine cobblestone and unique landscape of the city’s skyline, then combine them with hard style lines inspired by my idol, Coco Chanel. I incorporate a great deal of my own artistic qualities including turning my photography into unique embroidery and painting Italian skylines on my designs.
APPAREL DESIGN
ASYMMETRICAL TULLE BALLGOWN
8 Layer Tulle Dress with a Netted Bodice
Inspired by the unique and outlandish costume design in Disney's Cruella, this dress personifies the eccentric and edgy side of society. Meant to challenge the standard idea of elegance, this dress allows for personality to shine through and show off that the unordinary can be extraordinary!

STARLET
Draped Met Gala Gown
Meant to walk the runway at a Met Gala, this gown is made purely of high quality velvet. Inspired by the starlet Audrey Hepburn, this gown includes an elegant cowl back and a removable draped arm accessory. Including a train approximately three feet long with a hand stitched hem, this gown is the personification of elegance and class.
